Help before, during and after connecting
Safety Centre
Use DV8’s safety tools, protect personal information and make consent an ongoing conversation.
Immediate danger: leave the situation and contact your local emergency services. DV8 support is not an emergency service.
Report and block
Report a profile, conversation or content when it may break our rules. Include the most relevant evidence. In encrypted chats, DV8 can only review messages you expressly choose to unlock and submit with the report.
Block immediately stops further in-app contact and removes the member from your discovery experience. Reporting and blocking are separate actions; use both when appropriate.
Meeting safely
- Meet in a public place first and arrange your own transport.
- Tell a trusted person where you are and when you expect to check in.
- Keep your home address, workplace and financial details private until trust is established.
- Leave if identity, boundaries or circumstances differ from what was agreed.
- Never send money or financial credentials to someone you met through DV8.
Consent and kink safety
- Agree boundaries, risks, safewords and aftercare before play.
- Consent must be informed, specific, freely given and reversible at any time.
- Severe impairment prevents meaningful consent. Do not combine risky play with impairment.
- Stop immediately when consent is withdrawn or a safeword is used.
Photos, calls and privacy
- Do not share an intimate image without the subject’s permission.
- Assume recipients can capture anything displayed on their device.
- DV8 displays approximate proximity, but patterns can still reveal information—use location controls thoughtfully.
- Use device lock and account security controls, and sign out from devices you no longer control.
Zero tolerance involving minors
Stop contact and report any person who claims or appears to be under 18, requests sexual content involving a minor, or attempts to move such activity elsewhere. Do not download, save or redistribute suspected illegal content.
